Trap Neuter Return

South Austin Cat Hospital strongly supports Trap Neuter Return (TNR) efforts for outdoor living community cats. Effective TNR programs provide a means to manage outdoor populations of cats and reduce the number of cats in our city’s animal shelters. TNR programs also reduce the spread of disease by providing vaccinations to cats who otherwise would not be seen by a veterinarian.

Local TNR services are available through the Austin Humane Society. Currently, Austin Humane Society provides these services for free for community cats living in Travis county, and at a very reduced cost for community cats in the surrounding areas. Please visit their TNR program page for more information.
